There is nothing worse than seeing a business unable to conduct business due to technology limitations. In a normal situation how does your small business handle a technology crisis?
About 2 weeks ago, a major Internet service provider in our area sent out a modem update. This issue caused the two parts of the modem to split and not be able to talk to each other any longer. (Note: A cable modem has a WAN side, ISP, and a LAN side which is where you plug in your devices) When this happened, your network could not talk to the Internet any longer, however the Modem itself appeared to be online and functional to the ISP (Internet Service Provider). Since this happened in the middle of the night, most of our customers didn't have Internet the next morning to work.
